"Just Tell Them...

I have worked 40 years to make the Women's Suffrage platform broad enough for Atheists and Agnostics to stand upon, and now if need be I will fight the next 40 to keep it Catholic enough to permit the straightest Orthodox religionist to speak or pray and count her beads upon."

Enough Hormones On the Bench, Already!

Personally, I have had it with all that testosterone. Haven't you? I mean... testosterone is the "anger hormone." And it is also associated with risk taking behaviors.

That is why I am calling for equal representation from the other half of the population. You know, the one that has less testosterone. And a little bit more estrogen. Estrogen, being the hormone of love, can only bring balance to the important decisions made by our highest court.

Just about anything you want to know about Sonia Sotomayor can be found RIGHT HERE.

H/T to Prof. Darren Hutchinson at Dissenting Justice, for doing all the research. If it were not for him, I would know far littler about this Obama appointee. IMO, the MSM ... even it's liberal organs.. are doing a TERRIBLE job of telling us who our next SCOTUS appointee is.

Judge Sotomayor *will* be confirmed, despite their negligence and outright misogyny. She has to be. We just can't take anymore of those out of control "hormones" on the bench.

I've never heard it suggested that women think with their vaginas or have big brass ovaries.

  2. This was meant to be snark... about all of the outcry that Judge Sotomayor will rule by her emotions, her menstrual cycles, or too much "empathy."

I don't see those kinds of accusations being leveled at the male justices. And I don't recall that they ever were. (but maybe I have selective memory??)

My point is this: we could just as well complain about hormones of the masculine variety. If we did not live in a society that glorifies all things male (like violence and risk-taking) while disdaining all things female.

I was being snarky too - men are often (and justifiably) accused of "thinking with the wrong head" or "letting their balls overrule their brains"

And they do it every day, not just a few days a month.
