"Just Tell Them...

I have worked 40 years to make the Women's Suffrage platform broad enough for Atheists and Agnostics to stand upon, and now if need be I will fight the next 40 to keep it Catholic enough to permit the straightest Orthodox religionist to speak or pray and count her beads upon."

Former S.O.S. Lawrence Eagleburger on The Foreign Policy Differences Between Presidents Obama and Clinton: Afghanistan

Speaks for itself:

H/T to No Quarter for the link. Interesting discussion there as well.

It really cannot be overstated, the difference between Obama's and Bill Clinton's administrations where foreign policy is concerned.

  1. Very interesting. deprived in "the vision thing" department - as we always knew.

  2. What is striking to me is... how many of the Obots have tried to ply us with "there's no difference between Hillary and Obama on the issues."

Or "it didn't make sense to jump from supporting Hillary to voting Mac after Obama was S-elected in the primaries." (Unless we were.... *racist*.... of course.)

What we knew THEN is what Eagleburger is confirming NOW. There is an ocean of difference between Hillary and Barack. And, quite frankly, not so much between Hill and Mac (where foreign policy is concerned at least.)

We are so screwed as a nation. I will never forgive the Dem. party for foisting this bumbling neophyte upon us. Their chickens are coming home to roost now.... and we will all pay heftily.

  3. Assuming... of course.... that Hillary would have followed a pattern similar to Bill's, on the foreign policy front.

Which I believe there is ample evidence that she would have.

Enough can never be said about peace through strength. Rather than aggression (as in Bush II.) Or appeasement (as in Bush III, uh, er, Obama.)
