The reviews are mixed, But, all in all, I think Cincinnati did OK for herself.
Cincinnatians, though split on many issues... voted across party lines and ideologies for Charterite Roxanne Qualls. (We know who is best for our city, it seems!)
Mayor Mallory handily won a second term, despite the "gay smears" against him and Roxanne. From the article linked above:
"By far the ugliest moments in this year’s campaigning occurred on Election Day, when some volunteers were caught distributing flyers outside Integrity Hall in Bond Hill. The literature accused Mallory and Qualls of being gay and of Mallory’s majority pushing funding for “gay art,” whatever that is.
No one took credit for the flyers, but it occurred at the same facility where Winburn held his victory celebration Tuesday night."
Unfortunately, Charlie Winburn also eeked out a council seat. By the skin of his anti-gay teeth.
Look, Charlie... Cincinnati may be known as a Conservative city. But not THAT KIND of Conservative. Get a grip on yourself....
Go Roxanne and Mark!!
