He "forgot Obama was black for an hour?"
WTF is this man talking about? Is that really ALL he thinks about??

You have to think about his racist comment a minute or two before you realize how racist it is.
ReplyDeleteIt means Matthews is so aware that Obama is supposed to be black, that he (Matthews) can not think of anything else but that when he thinks of Obama!
Exactly. Who sits around thinking "this man is black" while listening to a speech. By anyone?? And then to say .... "for an hour I forgot that he was black" .... It's very telling.
ReplyDeleteProbably the explanation for why Matthews felt he had to cram Obama down the rest of our throats. In penitence for his own racist thoughts.... that run through his head the other 23 hours out of each day.
And to think that Mr. Tinglypants was prancing around calling Hillary backers "racist" in 2008. UNBELIEVABLE!
How many pro-Obama liberals recognized this as racism, though? And they label conservatives as racist... hypocrites...
ReplyDeleteSYD, exactly - spot on in your analysis. That is what I have thought from the start was the problem with the oh-so-devote Obama supporters.
ReplyDeleteThey have un-self-examined racism, and un-consciously that leads them to support Obama. Their support excuses their racism.
As someone said on another blog, Oprah's white audience members can "claim" Oprah as a black friend because they watch her on TV, even if they don't have a single black friend in real life or even in their gated community.
Sadly Arkadelos probably very few, because to do so requires they drop their racism-blinders that hides their own racism.
ReplyDelete"Remember folks:
Racism! It's not just for use against Black people anymore!
I wonder how the news director reacted when the words came out of Chris Matthew's mouth. I wonder if he wanted to try and stuff them back in and go to a very long commercial break.
ReplyDeleteThe whole Barack Obama thing, it was really about "them", wasn't it. It was really about Olbermann and Matthews and Russert all wanting to lead the way to enlightenment for the rest of us racist knuckleheads.
I don't see race when I see Barack Obama, I see a desperate, manipulative man who rushed his success and accepted highly suspicious methods to achieve his goal at the expense of the democratic voting block. Ironically, it was a group of primarily white men who put the puppet strings on Barack Obama and told him he could be a leader, but only on their terms. How racist is that?
