In the past week, our tiny rescue has taken in four mama cats with litters of at least five each. And we are just now seeing the rev-up to kitten season. I mourn for all the little lives that will be lost this Spring. Because there just simply are not enough places for them to go on living...
We are building a new sanctuary now. To house some of the mamas, after their kittens are weaned. But... it will never be enough.
That is the saddest part of rescue work.

It never ceases to amaze me the people who don't spay/neuter their pets. I can appreciate what a difficult time this is for the rescue organization, yours and others.
