During (and perhaps because of) my own anquish over the sexism of the 2008 election season in the U.S., I somehow missed out on the release of this apparent gem of a film.
Now I have to figure out a way to see the film as it is touring...

As a former Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia from 1969-72, I had the privilege of working with Liberians and was always astounded at the role and strength of rural women and had the good fortune to see the film here in Santa Fe last year. I wish Obama had gone to Liberia and supported this country with its unique American ties when he ahd the chance.
