The ongoing Political Musings of a former (now Stray) Yellar Dawg Dem.
This is a Feminist Blog, in the tradition of Susan B. Anthony.
"Just Tell Them...
I have worked 40 years to make the Women's Suffrage platform broad enough for Atheists and Agnostics to stand upon, and now if need be I will fight the next 40 to keep it Catholic enough to permit the straightest Orthodox religionist to speak or pray and count her beads upon."

This could be a very entertaining four years for Her devotees.
I hate to sound superstitious. I'll simply say, though, that my own spiritual orientation does not really allow for "coincidences."
That said, I have noticed that many of us PUMAs are recording the little (and big) "mishaps" surrounding the Obama cabinet, and some of Hillary's early detractors. In my personal world view, this kind of "chain of events" would signal an angry "Goddess." Not a deity in the sky with a lightening bolt or anything. More of an archetypal, collective consciousness, Jungian kinda energy.
Anyways... yes, it appears that She is pissed. Many of her daughters (and sons) are too. So much so that curious mishaps are plaguing Her detractors.
It was actually NYS's groundhog report that sealed the deal in my mind. Because Imbolg is an Earth festival, and thus, a holy day for those who honor Her. Being bitten by a groundhog at Imbolg is like... whoa ... that's some kinda karma! Ouch!!
In the words of Rev. Bergman at Katalusis: "Echoing through the disarray in the Obama Administration this evening, one can almost hear Maya Angelou’s voice: “Rise, Hillary, Rise.”"
In "real life" Dawg is a mom, a nurse, a pet rescuer and a tireless advocate for animal rights.
Dawg is happily married for thirty years and has raised three awesome children. She holds an advanced degree in Family Science, wherein her research was focused on women's support circles during parturition. Her dedication to Women's Rights is directly affected by her belief that motherhood should not be a sentence to isolation and disenfranchisement.
Dawg is on hiatus from political bloggery d/t the intense demands of her engagement in the No Kill movement at this time. However, she remains influenced by PUMA politics and reads the blogs of her fellow PUMAs (at right) regularly.
Thanks for the Visit, all you Stray Dogs and PUMAs!
"Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory unannounced, stray dogs that amble in, sniff around a bit and simply never leave.
