"Just Tell Them...

I have worked 40 years to make the Women's Suffrage platform broad enough for Atheists and Agnostics to stand upon, and now if need be I will fight the next 40 to keep it Catholic enough to permit the straightest Orthodox religionist to speak or pray and count her beads upon."

Under The Bus, Steve Driehaus: Dems Pull Out Funding for Ohio Rep.

Remember when State Rep. Steve Driehaus of Ohio was strong armed into voting FOR Obamacare? I distinctly remember hearing something to the effect of "we'll take care of you in 2010, Steve" at that time.

Well FORGET IT, Steve. The Dem Party has to cut its losses, you know, hence...

they're scaling back advertising plans to help a number of lawmakers including Reps. Betsy Markey of Colorado, Harry Teague of New Mexico and Steve Driehaus and Mary Jo Kilroy of Ohio. They've also cut back on ad campaigns to defend Democratic-held open seats in Indiana and Kansas.

Can't say *I* didn't see it coming. And, really... it's a shame if Steve didn't. Cuz now, not only are we set to lose the district... but he is embroiled in lawsuits to stop the "pro-life" slander that threatens to end his political career in these parts. To make matters worse ... his lawmaker sister, Denise Driehaus ... may go down with him.

What a shame.

We coulda had a Hillary at the head of our party.

PS. No Driehaus bashing in this thread. Steve and Denise are two of the "good guys." They are being screwed like the rest of us.

I don't care for his beliefs, but this goes to show every Dem in government how the WH bastards play and how little loyalty means to them. How pathetic that NOW, Emily's List, and other so-called women's organizations seem to be getting more and more abject and cowering the less worthy of such loyalty these creeps show themselves to be.

It really is a shame watching some of the good Dems go down in 2010, especially the women because they are always the first soft targets.

Here in Wa it's really gut wrenching. Murray and Rossi are locked in a tight race. Many people love her but hate the party she is attached to, so even though people may not even like Rossi one bit, they'll be voting for him just to get the D's out of power.

  3. And you know what? If we really got some kind of meaningful healthcare reform out of this... I bet most of these "good Dems" would be willing to take it for the cause.

But the fact is we go no such thing. Yet some of them have sacrificed careers to stand with the Holy One.

Obama did, after all, promise that they would "have *him*" in 2010. Remember?? He was going to be soooo much better at staving off midterm losses than his Dem predecessor, Bill Clinton, was.

    Sure he was.
