Look, I am not one to wear my patriotism on my sleeve. But, I have family members in the military ... and I don't think their mother (my cousin) should have to be subjected to what Debbie McLucas was. On Memorial Day, of all days!

And I don't really care if someone else is "offended." If s/he doesn't like the American flag... and wasn't even born here.... the question begs to be answered: Why is s/he here?

Memorial Day Farewell

I've decided to give myself a much needed blogging break this weekend! So, I won't be around for a while. The weekends ahead are going to be incredibly busy, and I just don't want to start every morning upset about politics.

This Saturday I'll be hosting a kitten adoption event/ yard sale. Then Sunday is Delta Society testing day. Monday I am planning to visit the gravesites of soldiers from my family, and enjoy the "Taste of Cincinnati."

That leads into next week when I'll celebrate two family birhdays and my own anniversary.... all before heading east for my oldest son's graduation from Harvard. So, who knows... I may be on hiatus for a couple of weeks.

I trust my PUMA friends to keep an eye on things for me while I am away.
