"Just Tell Them...

I have worked 40 years to make the Women's Suffrage platform broad enough for Atheists and Agnostics to stand upon, and now if need be I will fight the next 40 to keep it Catholic enough to permit the straightest Orthodox religionist to speak or pray and count her beads upon."

Growing Pains in The PUMAsphere? The New Agenda Takes Flight....

Wow. I am so sorry to see infighting amongst a group with such powerful potential as The New Agenda. But, then, it’s not unusual… When strong minded people get together they are bound to disagree on some things. I prefer to call that "growing pains."

I'll continue to stand by Harriet Christian … a folk hero of HUGE import for the future of blue collar Feminism.

And I'll also stand behind Amy Siskind …as she spearheads this new, communal, voice for Feminism in Politics. For my money, it is possible to support and respect both sides. Plus, it is critical that we not start eating each others limbs off… as the Obots are now doing over the Warren pick.

Let's choose our battles, ladies! We are in for a long four (maybe eight) years. We are going to need each other.

  1. That's my point too. There are no sides.
Everyone who espouses the PUMA beliefs is fine in my book. Unless they say different. And that would be a shame as there are no real reasons for fights.

  2. Absolutely, Edge and Stray. Your wise words are so needed now. If there is one thing the world needs to learn is that nothing good can come of back biting, infighting and fomenting animosity. We need to allow others to express themselves in the way that works best for them. Until people can learn to speak and act respectfully toward one another and communicate calmly, we cannot expect to accomplish much. Enemies love nothing more than to incite and watch infighting, for that is what always destroys an initiative.
