"Just Tell Them...

I have worked 40 years to make the Women's Suffrage platform broad enough for Atheists and Agnostics to stand upon, and now if need be I will fight the next 40 to keep it Catholic enough to permit the straightest Orthodox religionist to speak or pray and count her beads upon."

Tori Tiger Wishes Ya'll a Happy Bird Day!

Tori "The Therapy Tiger" is a HUGE hit at the nursing home she visits. This week she attended a Bengal's Football party. Last week she was the guest of honor at an 88 year old's birthday bash.

Despite the rough year for rescue... there have been highlights and Tori's ministry is one of them!

I plan to add a couple more therapy pets in 2010, Goddess willing.

Peace to all..... and enjoy your turkey! (Or Tofurky, as the case may be.)

Openly Gay Republican To Run For Massachusetts Lt. Governor

The Boston Globe reports that Richard Tisei will run alongside Gubernatorial Candidate, Charlie Baker.

This race will interest me because, in the wake of the DNC's Oba-fiasco, there is a lot about Conservatism that is beginning to appeal to me. But.... as I shared at Cynthia Yockey's blog this morning....

Ya know. This (sanctity of marriage) is the one sticky wicket that keeps me from joining the Conservative movement. Oh, there are other things I don’t completely agree about. Like the “Right to Life” fanaticism. But, at least I *understand* how an intelligent person may want to extend Constitutional rights to a fertilized ovum. There is moral consistancy to the argument… whether I agree with it or not. KWIM?

But this whole thing about denying Constitutional rights to gay people is baffling. It does not really fit within a Conservative mindset. It’s a glaring inconsistancy that will need to be rectified before I can really jump on board…

Videos of the Week: PUMA Special. (Burqa Barbie, Tinglepants Disappointment, SNL on Sarah 2012, and Barbara Walters on Trig Palin)

Uppity Woman started my day right, by posting the latest update on "Burqa Barbie" this morning:

This is the same doll that Phyllis Chesler has called for a boycott of.

But... THAT"S NOT ALL!

WomanState would like us to know that Chrissy-poo Matthews (aka Tweety) is missing his tingle:

Well, boo-effing-hoo. Idiot.

Meanwhile, Tennessee Guerilla Women point out that SNL thinks Sarah Palin is one hell of a powerful woman:

Best of all, though, Bloghopenchangery links to the Barbara Walters interview with Sarah Palin.... about Trig:

Carly, Lynn, Hillary, Sarah and Cynthia: Monster Slaying Women that Won't Back Down, Won't Give Up

The New Agenda carries Cynthia Ruccia's analysis of Lady Lynn Rothchild's re-emergence on the political scene. In conjunction with Carly Fiorina. Discussing Hillary and Sarah.

Five strong women with varying opinions on the issues, but in agreement on one point...

We must slay the political monster that is Sexism. Once and for all!

And speaking of slaying monsters.... HILLBUZZ is hoping for a Sarah victory. All around.

I couldn't agree more.

Conyers is Tired of "Saving Obama's Can" on Health Care & Fiorina Warns of New Mammogram Restrictions

Meanwhile Carly Fiorina warns that new mammogram rules defy logic.

Are the Democratic Party masses waking up to what is happening yet? Ladies?? Progressives are losing EVERYTHING they believe in. Because they have elected an empty suit with no moral compass to lead them.

Such bullshit.

It Sure Is Nice for the DNC to be so Concerned Over the Future of the GOP...

Isn't it?

Huffpo Gets Tough With Imposters... Since When?

I was happy to read about Huffpo's new policy of banning imposters from their response columns.

I don't seem to remember any such policy being in place in 2008, when I was forced to quit reading Arianna's rag because of the way they were treating PUMAs and Palin Feminists.

Interesting how a high profile bloggin' lawyer can knock some some sense into the press. Eh?

Way to go Legal Insurrection!

"One more thing. Hillary would have never stood for this. You have to live with that now."

Uppity sez it all. There just really isn't much more to add.

Except, of course....

DAMNED FOOLS! We'll all pay for your stupak mistakes.

UPDATE: Uppity's rant has struck a nerve with PUMAs. It is also being posted at No Quarter.

"Compassion Fatigue" is NOT an Excuse for Terrorism! It is a Real Diagnosis and It Deserves Respect...

I was busy over the weekend. Not much time to blog. But that doesn't mean I was not I watching the saga as it unfolded at Fort Hood. Once again I must thank my PUMA friends for keeping me up to snuff on the nation's hottest news stories!

I am FLABERGHASTED. As are Afrocity and Cynthia Yockey and Uppity Woman.

Despite my Liberal roots and voting record.... I am on the same page with Phyllis Chesler and Murph this time. And that is not likely to change soon.... unless I see mass repudiation of this tyrant, Hassan, by high level Muslims in my community and the world. Clerics staying quiet, and flying below the radar will not garner my support this time.... as it did after 9/11.

I've been listening. And... for the most part.... crickets.

Except, of course, from the apologist Obot legions who want me to believe the "good doctor" was suffering from "Compassion Fatigue."

Oh... and while I'm on that subject .... As a family scientist, I *object* to the deliberate misuse of one of my profession's diagnoses to excuse terrorism.

Sorry, I guess my own "Compassion Fatigue" is setting in.

Aaaahhhhhh........

This is what my sweet little senior terrier, Josie, looked like... in her puppy sling.... after her massage.

Letha, the Health Pets Expo organizer, gave the most wonderful massage demonstration for pet owners. I'm happy to say that we had three of our foster moms there to learn. And some of their kids as well. That will make for a lot of happy foster doggies and kitties this season!

Back to the Festival today. Bringing one of our foster daddies, and another pet or two, along for demo. #2.

If you are in Louisville, and have pets.... you really should join us!

Happy Birthday Daily PUMA!

I hope I am around to see all 12 points in your mission statement accomplished:

1. ...there is unfinished business from 2008 involving Barack Obama and his people CHEATING in the caucus contests.

2.....Barack Obama accepting money that he KNEW was fraudulently donated to him via the use of fake names,

3.....Identifying the democrats that went out of their way to support Barack Obama and diss Hillary Clinton when they just could have easily as waited on the sidelines and let the democratic voters decide at the ballot box,

4.....Exposing the intertwined relationship that Barack Obama has with Wall Street Bankers at the expense of middle, "bitter: america,

5.....Spotlighting lazy, conceited, men in suits who profit from making fun of woman or diminishing them in the media,

6.....Spotlight women who are doing things and women who are being ridiculed and ignored when they should be congratulated for doing the right thing.

7.....Be a conduit that connects PUMA blogs in a fast and efficient manner so that we can get the most information in the fastest possible time so we can keep in touch more easily with more PUMA blogs.

8......Exposing the republican conservative frauds and their blogs who simply hate all things democrat while pretending to be supporters of PUMA

9......Reveal and expose the conservative younger blogs that are nothing more than retreads of their older predecessors and simply hate on Hillary Clinton every chance they get.

10......Hope to be around when the wrongdoers publicly admit they acted unethically in the 2008 democratic race and want to apologize to Hillary Clinton.

11.....Would like to see Barack Obama resign one day with an incredibly eloquent speech that actually allows him to keep his political career going as a changed, humbled man.

12....Hillary Clinton has grown by leaps and bounds as a person and a politician and would make the finest next president of anybody out there from either party.

Former Mayors Roxanne Qualls and Mark Mallory are Top Vote Getters in Cincinnati, Despite Accusations That They Are Both "Gays" Buying "Gay Art"

The reviews are mixed, But, all in all, I think Cincinnati did OK for herself.

Cincinnatians, though split on many issues... voted across party lines and ideologies for Charterite Roxanne Qualls. (We know who is best for our city, it seems!)

Mayor Mallory handily won a second term, despite the "gay smears" against him and Roxanne. From the article linked above:

"By far the ugliest moments in this year’s campaigning occurred on Election Day, when some volunteers were caught distributing flyers outside Integrity Hall in Bond Hill. The literature accused Mallory and Qualls of being gay and of Mallory’s majority pushing funding for “gay art,” whatever that is.

No one took credit for the flyers, but it occurred at the same facility where Winburn held his victory celebration Tuesday night."

Unfortunately, Charlie Winburn also eeked out a council seat. By the skin of his anti-gay teeth.

Look, Charlie... Cincinnati may be known as a Conservative city. But not THAT KIND of Conservative. Get a grip on yourself....

Go Roxanne and Mark!!

Thanks to My PUMA Friends for the Election Night Coverage!

I'm still lurking. But, after watching last night's election returns I just want to join you in saying ...

DON'T BLAME ME, I VOTED FOR HILLARY!

And to the DNC, in it's Obotian idiocy:

THANKS FOR NOTHING!!
